Prior to the commencement of the project, we conducted a detailed on-site assessment to understand the unique requirements of the project, ensuring our designs seamlessly integrate with existing structures, re-utilising foundations for efficiency.  One challenge set by the Client’s requirements was to ensure elements were separated to prevent vibration transferring from the building to sensitive equipment. Our designs achieved this by provision of an independent ring beam and isolated deep slab to dampen any residual vibrations through the soils. In addition, we provided a comprehensive drainage design, covering aspects such as pipe sizes, slopes, and manhole plans.
