Parsons Consulting Engineers Ltd. has been appointed to develop a Drainage Strategy in support of a planning application. The project involves reviewing the existing surface and foul water drainage systems, which appear to be largely external and in good condition. Given limited retrofit options, the strategy will focus on opportunities within the courtyard area, where features such as rain gardens or water butts may be incorporated to achieve drainage betterment and meet the expectations of the Lead Local Flood Authority. The team will also assess the internal drainage layout, verify the positions of existing foul drains, and explore sustainable drainage solutions (SuDS) to support the development’s environmental and regulatory goals.
